Yeah, I agree with the emotional impulse..but..well, the KKK are the
unpopular minority now.  By the same logic you use, the white bigot
majority in the 60s should have been able to silence the then-minority
group of people who believed that we are all equal.  If that had
happened, those groups would never have been able to flourish... So,
you've got to let everybody speak, and hope that the sensible thought
predominates in the end. Also, most of the worse oppressors were people
who silenced their opponents ... hitle, mao...that should give you some
idea of what happens when speech is silenced...

I think the best weapon against the KKK is letting the KKK speak out in
the open. How many rational people would buy their argument when they
see those silly idiots dressed in hoods and capes like wayward children.
I think most people make good decisions when they are presented with
full accurate information.  They make bad decisions when they only have
half the story...
