I don't think Ed dislikes us so much but I've wondered the same
thing...however I think this whole thing has been going back and forth
between Ed/ toward Ed/ etc.  I'm not _siding_ with Ed or anyone. 
Actually I think he has added a lot to the list, although at a great
expense for many that have been here a while.  He seems to stir everyone
up and piss most people off.  I don't really like him or dislike him...I
just ignore it.  But I think it's alright for him to be here.
I admit that Ed could be a bit more polite and not so defensive, but
I've always thought that anyone who so many people get down on has to
have something going for himself.  ie:  Alan Klien is a good example.
It would be easy to ignore Ed if you don't like what he's saying and it
should be even easier to ignore him if he has offended anyone..just blow
it off.
Maybe many of us feel we have something to defend or protect here on the
list from the mean invader Ed.
I think that Bolt and Fiona have done a tremendous amount of work around
here  - please let's don't let it fall apart because someone like Ed
pisses us off or we feel personally attacked.  Ed should be able to have
his say and others have their's with reacting negatively.  Whether
everything he says is correct or not however is a matter of debate. 
I've become so pissed at much of what he says that it's all I can do to
not yell at him.  But then again he makes me think about what he says
and I like some of it.  That's sounds contradictory but there it is.  If
someone does not like Ed then why not just leave him alone and maybe he
can begin to like us and then we could all get along.  Hey, lets be
friends everyone.  I feel like a bit of a family here.
