Babel - the next generation

All this time I'd been thinking babel-list was mostly a bunch of
people like me in their 40's who'd first heard Patti in the 70's.
Nice to hear there are a bunch of under-20 people out there too.

Just lately there's been another one.  My son who's 12 asked the
other day if he could borrow the Patti Smith disk with "Summer
Cannonballs" and since then it's been in heavy rotation in that
part of the house.  This morning I got him up for school and the
first thing he did was stagger over to the boombox, push the button,
and out comes "jesus died for somebody's sins ...".  Makes me think
I've done something right as a father.
