Friday show, some thoughts

Made it to my computer this AM, here's some thoughts.

First set the band seemed tighter than the DC shows last Jan, but
the last night of a stand they better be tight.  Sound system was great,
set was good.

Second set Patti seemed a little spacey, but hey, the last set of a four
night stand I'll give that to her.  the highlight (to me) was that all
the wonderful godawful noise coming out of the band, patti's clarinet,
and Lenny's guitar leaning up against the amp during the final final
noise overload.

lo-lite:  After a lot of thought, and even though the version Friday did
smoke, I wish she would not do RnRN.  First, it made me cringe when some
pinhead screamed out " Nigger Nigger Nigger "  Second, I think she has a
lot of gall saying "outside of society, is where I wanna be"

best comment:  To the person who, in the second set, yelled out Piss
Factory, Patti's reply about the baby sitter being late.


Now an open letter to Patti:

Patti- the baseball owners are all a bunch of scumbags.  No one forces
you to stay with Arista once your contract is up, but that is the what
the scumbag owners did with the reserve clause until the 1970's.  Read
up a little bit about Curt Flood and Andy Messersmith.  Who would you
rather see make the money, the players or the owners? (and the owners
make plenty as it is)
