I certainly wasn't blaming! Just observing... :)
I noticed more disappointment than anger, and I was sad
her new-album activities began on such a low note for her.
Thursday (my only night) I didn't notice any major A-holes
in the crowd. (Just minor incidents as at any gathering.)
Patti seemed mostly upset (or bored?) at seeing all the
same faces. She indicated the audience was too low-key
("lame"). I got the impression she would have *liked* a
little rowdiness. But the sets were so slow-paced it was
hard to get really rockin'.
Based on Tony R's report, I wish I'd braved the NYC holiday
crazies and gone to FRIDAY'S show...sounds like the
Halloween spirits prevailed!
Does anyone know if CB's made her do those long sets, or if
that was the bands' choice?
