JDaly -
I meant No Disrespect (to You).
'Course you're Right: Every
Artist(s Work) Deserves to be Commented
upon.
I Do Totally Disrespect the Notion that Any Artist Deserves to be
Criticized *for* their Work; For not saying it as I would have said it; Not
doing it as I would have done it.
I know what is meant about the phrase *Rock'n'Roll Nigger*. I feel
like I understand the what and why of her expression; that Naivety of
Purpose. I even like to think that S/He (And Lenny)
were Right. I wonder how much *Pop*
music there was from Black People
("Afro-Americans", if any prefer it),
before PSG, talkin' about Niggers Standin' Up/...Niggers Steppin' OutSide?
Now it's there...
With Due Respect One May Use
The Language of the Birds.
Even so, I've always felt a little...Ambivalent about the phrase.
But not so you could notice it. I wore the Button for six months or a year
all around town and only had one guy call me on it. "It's a Band, ya
Know?", I hastily assured him as I left the train.

We are commenting on Patti and her work. The way we always do on this
list.
She's an artist - not a god. Why shouldn't we criticize her when we think
she
deserves it? Jeeeeezz.

Aside from all that, I just Never
liked "Critics" Or "Criticism".
But sorry. Of course I know You'd
never stoop to *that*...
