John Cale in Detroit

Last night I saw John Cale perform at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit.  The
highlight of the evening was when someone in the back of the hall yelled out
"Where's Lou?"  John rolled his eyes, then looked at his watch, and retorted
"in bed I hope!"

P.S.  When I met Lou Reed backstage after his Detroit show last March, he
autographed my VU banana album cover, and seeing John's autograph already on
there, said "I'll have to make mine bigger than John's!"
