As others have probably noted, it's an old book that came out in the early
80s or thereabouts. Worth having if you're a Burroughs fiend. It would be
extra-nice if it had newer material added. What we all really need, however,
is "Ports of Entry: William S. Burroughs and the Arts", the
catalogue/companion book to the exhibit of the same name which ended
yesterday at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I didn't have the cash on
hand to buy a copy ($25) when I was there yesterday, but it's most likely
avaialble at bookstores, being published by Thames & Hudson. Chock full of
Burroughs art & collages as well as art galore inspired by the man--- all of
which I got to see 'live,' too. The shotgun paintings are fun to look through.

Funny Fi should quote Duchamp-- while I was at LACMA I got to see one of
those valises he made with scaled down replicas of his 'greatest hits',
including the 'Large Glass. It shared a case with a Man Ray chess set... if
I had one of those, I just know it would improve my game! BTW, Fi-- did you
read the piece on Duchamp & his wife a few months back in the New Yawker?
