in the new alternative press (november 1996, 100 underground inspirations
issue), there is a 4-page article about patti (and, yes, on page 51, there
is a short summary of patti for the 100 underground inspirations section).
it's an ok article -- she talks a little more about the little richard
inspiration, and the article serves as an overall summary of her career.
it was done in greenwich village as well. has many quotes from her songs
in bold to "tie" everything together, as well as sidebar articles on coral
sea and lenny kaye quotes about patti. god is very much a recurring
theme. if anybody looks over the article, one of my pet peeves is what
they did on page 35 (2nd page of the article) with the pearl jam ad.
you'll see what i mean...
