Price tag? I got it for 47 bucks at Tower, which isn't bad for five discs.
It contains all the early albums up to 'Song of the Bailing Man' but omits
one song from that record ("The Use of A Dog") due to time constrictions.
All on three discs. The other two discs include one of 99% unreleased live
material and a "rarities" disc of Ubu related Cleveland bands.
They do plan to reissue the albums individually, with extra tracks, starting
next year.
But if you can find the box for a good price, I'd say it makes a fine (and
fairly comprehensive) intro to the group.
The live disc and the rarities disc will not be issued separately. (Of
course, I'll probably buy the reissues too...)
A long review of the box is in the works for my Web site. Not this weekened,
though-- I'm going to L.A. for the last day of the Burroughs exhibit!
