RE: artaud exhibit and The Passion of Joan of Arc

Fi's post of Knapp's summary of Artaud captured quite
nicely who Artaud was. I would like to add the 100th
birthday of Artaud came and went on September 8th (for
those who like to celebrate anniversaries this may be
another reason to attend the exhibit).

For those of us who are not close enough to see the
exhibit I heartily recommend seeing Artaud act in Carl
Dreyer's 1927 silent classic "The Passion of Joan of Arc".
Maria Falconetti and Dreyer's powerful direction make
this an amazing film. It is available in video and you
can probably rent it at a video store that specializes in
classic films. Any other Dreyer fans on the list?
