RE: bad announcement of patti in L magazine before the beacon theatre show

I don't see what the fuss is all about. The article is absolutely right:

"you never want to talk smack about people like patti smith, because then
you wind up sounding like an idiot"

The author should have stopped there while s/he was still ahead.

Subject: bad announcement of patti in L magazine before the beacon theatre
show

i was perturbed to read in L magazine www.thelmagazine.com

a posting about patti's upcoming gig at the beacon. i meant to

post this when i read it, but have been busy with other things.

the L magazine comes out of williamsburg, brooklyn, ny

this issue was from sept 12th to the 25th, the L magazine

i guess a mini version of the village voice, is at 20 Jay St ste 207

brooklyn, ny 11201 w/an e-mail addrs of info

i do not know who wrote what i will state below, but the editor is

jonny diamond, many contributors, and columnists, and an

events and marketing manager named kathira romero, on page

75, under music, rock, pop, and hip-hop section it says

beacon theatre 8pm patti smith and her band $25.00. and continues

to say "you never want to talk smack about people like patti smith,

because then you wind up sounding like an idiot, but she's playing

just a few too many shows of late, as far as we're concerned.

we'd rather she stay cloaked in mystery.

hey L magazine...maybe you should get some new writers.

the gig was great as all patti's show's are and who are u to

say the above????
