As was (and still is) Gloria. My Generation was a close
second.
Louie Louie was also a staple of fledgling garage bands
of the early 70's. The chords are so simple and easy to
play even if you're not a guitar player. The song would
practicly start comimg out of the instrument before it
was taken out of the case!
sigh.... back ally, mattress and egg-carton "sound proofed"
auditions for bands that didn't have a chance.
"Oh no, not Louie again."
"One more time from the top for the new guy."
