This week the Mich Vish Interracial Morning Show! is thrilled to
present excerpts from a recent interview Vish conducted with
revolutionary artist and musical icon Patti Smith.
Blossoming in New York City's underground arts scene in the early
1970s, Patti Smith established herself as the most poetic voice in
rock 'n' roll since Bob Dylan. Smith altered the landscape for women
in music, her theatrical performances and political stance were a
harbinger of punk, and her distinctive voice remains a remarkable
force. Vish was very lucky to speak with Smith about her brand new
album Twelve in mid-April, and we'll be airing excerpts of this
conversation over the next two weeks.
