Hi,
I received a "finished" copy of "Twelve" complete with artwork and
liner notes. Patti writes a short paragraph about each title. Here's
what she says about "White Rabbit":
When I was young, there were a lot of great female singers: Tina
Turner, Darlene Love, Joan Baez, Martha Reeves, Cher, Janis Joplin,
each in their own way intensely emotional. But for me, the vocal with
the greatest impact was by Grace Slick, delivering White Rabbit. Her
voice defied gender. Flea, our White Knight, spun the homage to the
wondrous Lewis Carroll, who created Alice, the Caterpillar, the
rabbit and the dormouse. It is my salute to Grace, the maverick queen
of rock and roll.
Cheers,
Marty
