RE: Smith Stoked For New Album, Tour, Rock Hall Induction

"White Rabbit" would be too cool. Jefferson Airplane, means the old stuff.
Doors songs also too cool. "Soul Kitchen" was real good at the Bowery.
I am looking forward to this new album as I am sure all the fans are. Sure, Patti may be obligated to do a cover album for Columbia as another poster said, but, Patti's choice of these old songs is a very good strategy. We will like it. We are thirsting for it. We will devour it.

The Rock Hall induction will add heft to a busy 2007 for Smith, who is
about to finish her first covers album. The as-yet-untitled set is due
in late March or early April and features songs popularized by "Bob
Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Nirvana, Neil Young and some
people you'd be very surprised at."
