Well, since Jim Morrison and John Lennon are otherwise occupied, who could
it be, who should it be?
First of all, no body who is true English since they can't speak very well
and always sound like their joking around anyway, so Mick & Keith are out but
Townshend could work out pretty good for my generation . . .
Second of all, there's countless other woman musical artists who owe their
careers to the path Patti blazed for them but they should just pay her back by
making some hits out of her great songs so she could have at least 2 hits .
. .
Then there's a little known person named Bob Dylan who could bring his dog
and come to think of it, you could understand his dog better . . .
Also, there's Bono, who's often talked about how inspiring Patti was to him
when U2 started out and has played with her recently and quoted lyrics from R
'n R Nigger in his raps . . .
A big favorite would be Michael Stipe, which goes without saying, must be
the leading candidate since it would bring Instant Karma 'cause he'll already
be there . . .
My personal choice would be Bruce since he absolutely gives the best HOF
intro speeches (Dylan, Fogerty and U2) and their ties that bind go back to
Patti's "one hit", Because The Night. A big reason for Bruce to do it is so we
could have the Vote For Change jam session that didn't happen in 2004 with
Bruce, Stipe and Patti doing Because The Night and People Have The Power. The
biggest reason for Bruce to do it is that they'll need to practice and what
better place to do that then at The Stone Pony on 2/24 since I already have my
tickets!
