Gary Lucas, Patricia Morrison, and I, and assorted guests will be
presenting a tribute/memorial to the writer David Walley on November
9, at the Bowery Poetry Club, 308 on that venerated street, at 11
p.m.. We'll be celebrating David's biographies of Frank Zappa and
Ernie Kovacs, with selections from "Freak Out With The Mothers of
Invention" and the Nairobi Trio, and reading David's words. A treat.
David was the first person who got me a journalistic job in the biz,
