Note that Winamp does require you to download a separate,
free 3rd-party plugin for FLAC access. But once that's
done, playback is completely transparent.
And you might also want to check out "dbpoweramp" at
dbpoweramp.com. Their "MusicConverter" program
offers FLAC-->WAV conversion for free. (Conversion
to MP3 requires the purchase of a separate encoding
license). What sets dbpoweramp apart from other
free programs is (IMHO) their "File Selector" which
will let you several directories of files at once
and preserve the structure, and which requires
little or no thinking once it's installed.
And the FLAC-->WAV conversion is very fast.
