Verlaine's playing is superb on his many solo albums.  Check out his 
first solo effort, Tom Verlaine, especially his playing on Breakin' 
My Heart.  The Miller's Tale - A Tom Verlaine Anthology, is also 
highly recommended.  I like Lloyd's playing as well, but I think 
Verlaine is a distinct and rare talent on the guitar.
