Patti and U2: Madison Square Garden: October 10th

I saw U2 at Madison Square Garden this past monday (10/10) and Bono told the 
audience that Patti, Michael Stipe and Alicia Keys ... (yes, Alicia Keys) were 
in the audience.

He mentioned that Patti will be opening for U2 next month in New York, talked 
about how the album Radio Ethiopia changed his life and dedicated the song 
"Bad" to Patti.

U2 have been blending "snippets" of other artists songs at the end of their 
own songs...

Towards the end of  "Vertigo" they went into The Ramones "Rocakaway Beach" 
and then immediately into "Rock 'n' Roll Nigger"  (also did Lou Reed, Doors etc. 
at the end of other songs).  

At the end of their song "Bad" Bono began singing "People Got The Power"  ... 
yes "Got" .... He encouraged audience participation and in short time the 
Garden was singing "People Got The Power" ... which slowely evolved to "People 
HAVE The Power" ... hmmm...

November Garden shows should be interesting....
