Re: Floatation Tanks...John Lilly (npc)

Yeah, I've used them about a dozen or so times, and am considering buying one.
But damn, they're so damn expensive!

One place I went to a few times in Houston, the owners were surprised when I
mentioned that I'd come to see if it could help stop the serial migraines I
was getting at the time. It did. In fact I don't recall even Dr. Lilly
mentioning that possibility, either in lecture or in his books. It was nice
:) I had 3 sessions in 5 days that week.

Anyone who hasn't done it, OMG. Try to get a "designated driver" for the ride
home afterwards cuz you'll be sooooo relaxed  :)    Also, go with a lover;
when you get home you'll both be soooo horny and so relaxed that you're likely
to slide into tantric sex :)

The place in Austin where I used to go, the owners were lovers, and he and she
both had a huge grin when my gf and I asked if they ever used a tank together
:) They had. If I remember right, they musta liked the idea cuz they
flipped the door sign to "Closed" as soon as we left <G>

As another example of changing reality, I attended a lecture by Lilly and his
wife once. They played a tape loop for about 15 minutes, with the word,
"cogitate", repeated over and over. By the end of the playing they asked the
audience what we were hearing. There were literally dozens of different words
and phrases we all heard, yet it was "really" just the one word.
Interesting week; others in that lecture series included Andrew Weil. Baba Ram
Dass, and Timothy Leary. Talk about a natural high!
