No Depression magazine's "Artist of the Decade" Alejandro Escovedo
brings his 10-piece rock Orchestra on the road for the first time,
providing a rare opportunity to see his full ensemble outside of Texas.
Long renowned as the climactic closing event of Austin's annual South By
Southwest music conference, the Alejandro Escovedo Orchestra encompasses
the full range of intimacy and musical diversity that Escovedo is known
for.
Lenny Kaye, rock journalist, producer, and Patti Smith's long-time
guitarist and collaborator, brings his trio along for the ride, and
another acclaimed Austin songwriter, Jon Dee Graham, will open with a
set of his own songs as well as accompany Escovedo in the Orchestra.
