As much as I also believe that change can be a good thing and that we can all 
move on to new ... and who knows... perhaps, more exciting situations (never 
know what's around that corner - good or bad )  ...  I will never forget the 
first time I walked down to14th street from Irving Place and saw the spot where 
the Palladium once stood, and now turned into a New York University dorm...  

My heart sank.  Deep down inside .... my soul was crying....  I wondered if 
the residents of that dorm could still... occasionally hear echoes of what took 
place within that space that was once known as the palladium....

Its actually fascinating how cities evolve... I think I had read at the 
Bowery Ballroom's website that the space it occupies was once some kind of retail 
discount clothing store...  or something like taht... hey... maybe someday... 
our grandkids will buy back the space that CB's occupied (I'm already speaking 
in the past tense) and start up a new club with a new name... that will spark 
a new revolution.... hmmmm...
