Been meaning to respond to this post. So nice to find someone else who
remembers Ultravox and Magazine....two of my favorite bands from the
"post-punk" crowd (for lack of a better term). I had the pleasure of
seeing them both perform, in small venues up close, although I didn't get to
see Magazine until after John McGeoch left for Siouxee and Robin Simon came
over from Ultravox. For years I kept a tape in the car with Real Life on one
side and Systems of Romance on the other. I still listen to them. I just
played Real Life for a friend the other day.
