After their first major British tour Martin Jackson leaves and until a new
drummer can be found Paul Spencer fills in (for a German tour Supporting Patti
Smith and an OGWT).
Tiiiiiiiny content, but its still there--and there MAY be more! Who knows in
the ever expanding website that is 'Shot By Both Sides'!

:-D I remember Magazine! And I loved the Buzzcocks as well. Used to have the
single sleeve of 'Orgasm Addict' with the lady with the iron for a head on our
bedroom wall at the time. Hell, our whole wall was a punk collage...wish I
still had some of THOSE things! :\

I loved Ultravox as well, I don't have any of their lps anymore though, but I
do think of them from time to time! I think I saw them too--hell, I saw SO
many shows here and there at anywhere from holes in the wall (the fire dept
would ALWAYS come and shut these down after a show or two...they had a plan!
But we kept movin'!) to larger halls; I honestly can't remember every single
band I saw, but I know it was alot. Alcohol helped fuel my non-memory!

I DO recall Siouxsie & the Banshees at Eagles' Auditorium in 1981 or so....we
were trippin' and the place used to be THE place in the 60s to catch the
Doors, Jimi, Janis, etc--and my ex 'lived' there. When it became a sort of
punk venue, and we went that time to hear Siouxsie on acid. I stepped back and
leaned my back full against the wall and concentrated on the history of the
place. I swear I could FEEL the bands and the atmosphere from 'back when', the
aura was still there. It didn't hurt that the Banshees were so hypnotic OR
that I was on acid, but it was a fantastic experience that sent chills down my
peaking back!
