He was a superstar in Texas in 1978, too. That
was the year he first packed the Summit in Houston
--I was there--and the radio and newspaper
excitement building up to the event was so intense,
it was as if he were the only act in town that
weekend. *Everyone* was talking about him.
And songs from _The River_ were playing nearly
every place you walked into.
Great show, too. My husband and I were newlyweds,
and it was our first concert together. Ahh, sweet
memories... or, to quote Bruce, "glory days"....<smile>
Our second concert together, by the way, was Patti--
also in Houston, in 1979. She played a much smaller
venue--the Music Hall--which was perfect for her.
