I like Bruce, but all of this is bollocks. Bruce had great management. The
mid 70s (forget the exact date but they predate Darkness) simultaneous
covers of Time and Newsweek proclaiming him the "saviour of rock and roll".
How quickly they forget.
I saw Bruce just before this. Before BTR hit. Convocation Hall actually -
right where Patti just played. Hell of a thing to see back then. Hell of a
band.
He has only 2 things in common with Patti Smith. One is New Jersey. The
other is an old song he wrote for her. Thats it.
