Sure - Bruce was an original, but at the time of BTN
he was a big selling radio friendly rock star.
Similarly REM are original and have become big selling
radio friendly rock stars. Therefore as I see it there
is no difference in Patti associating with REM now
than there was in associating with Springsteen all
those years ago.

Patti's contribution to REM's records may not be earth
shattering and vice-versa but listen to REM play PHTP
together with Patti and the group and you hear great
rock'n'roll music. Long may such associations
continue.
