WELL, TO ME REM'S MUSIC IS COMPLETELY RADIO FORMATED. WEREAS PATTI'S IS
SOMETHING THAT IS NOT WORKING AND CONSIDERING RUELS. REM IS COMPLETELY
PLAYING THE GAME, WHEREAS PATTI IS NOT. AND I REALLY THINK THAT THE
RADIO/MASS MARKET FORMATED MUSIC WON'T STAY WHEREAS TRUE ORIGINALS WILL.
AND I THINK THEIR IS A LOT OF BANDS THAT WERE INSPIRED BY PATTI SMITH ND THE
MIDDLE 70 MUSIC SCENE, GOOD ONES AND BAD ONES TOO. IT IS NOT BECAUSE YOU
LIKE A GIFTED MUSICIAN THAT YOU CAN BE A GOOD ONE TOO.
AND I ALSO THINK THAT THIS IS NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE A PTTI SMITH FAN THAT YOU
ARE NECESSARELY INTELLIGENT (EVEN IF IT HELPS).
SMOG, CYNTHIA DALL, CAT POWER, NICK DRAKE, SONIC YOUTH, COUNTRY TEASERS,
NICO AMONG OTHERS ARE PEOPLE I DON'T CONSIDER BORING. THEY ARE ORIGINALS.
