Can't agree with you Christopher.
I for one don't find REM's music bad and boring - to
my ears their music keeps getting better and better.
It might not be to everyone's taste but Patti and
Stipe obviously share a mutual respect for each others
work. Patti needs to sell her music to a wider
audience than the handful of people who have stuck
with her since the seventies. Her association with REM
exposes her to a much wider audience than playing with
Cat Power would ever do.
