At last night's July 4 concert, the encore began with babelogue--Rock n
roll nigger then shifted into Land. In this version Johnny left the US and
the "immoral war" to live in Canada ("he went to Winnipeg, to Newfoundland,
to Nova Scotia"), settling north of Winnipeg "in the arms of his Canadian
brothers" before eventually returning to the US, first into "Machine Gun"
and then into "Gloria."
Nice. Hope somebody has a tape.
