Yup, that's right: but it was more like Thanksgiving weekend
'95. I started sending out feelers on T-Day itself, and the
people I sent feelers to sent out feelers of their own, and by
Sunday, we had about 20 people to charter the mailing list
and the beginnings of a webpage.

Thanks for the feedback, but we were no more saints than
y'all are: just eager to get the ball rolling, as you would be,
were you in the same place at the same time. Special
props, as always, to the other early "founders*-- Tony
Rzepela, Wilson Smith, Mitch Gart, Cassie Carter (our
first listmom!), and so many others who are mentioned
on this page:

http://www.oceanstar.com/patti/conduit.htm

But please, y'all, do keep givin' the good word to those
working on the site *now*: especially J. Bolt, Anthony
Roukis (the Man with the Scanner!), and Michael Berch,
as always. JB and Anthony (also Mitch Gart, for a while)
took on the unenviable job of carrying forward the project
after the excitement of the early days (years) was waning,
and they've really been troupers, in my opinion.

    --embarrassing myself,

because it's really all about PATTI, not us,

                                fi

P.S. And a big special attagirl to Bev Smith!
