Chestnut St.  (between front and second, south side) for

Mia Johnson & Hoagy
Swell Box

Mia Johnson is headlining, she's one of the area's best singer/songwriter
types, and her percussionist Hoagy is a hell of a musician too.

The Sparklers are a guitar trio which plays altcountry/no-depression stuff in
the vein of son volt uncle tupelo wallflowers etc.

Swell Box may be Philly's most interesting new band, combining the influences
of the faces/stones/petty/dylan/kinks and a shit hot twin guitar
attack...these guys can seriously play.

Show time 9:30-10 ish, the order is Sparklers, Mia Johnson, Swell Box

La Taza is two floors, with the music downstairs -- some couch seating, along
with plenty of tables and chairs...pretty comfy, and with decent food,
especially its dessert selection...nice place overall.
