Ok, Ok, first things first... Walter Lure was not, I repeat was not, at CBGB's Under Siege [Id by context is sure t fail Mike]...That wuz actually Randy Dash at CB's, who happens to have a band as well....Came to this conclusion before the Waldos hit the stage, and figured out who Walter Lure was before the set, sose I'm not *too* simpleminded...

Now that that's out of the way. Opening for the Waldos tonight wuz Flipside...I don't know what it is with this band, but they don't sound terribly solid, they're not terribly tight, the sound was well awful, but I liked them! Sorta grungy a little offkilter straight ahead rock n roll, that definately drew one in... Oh yeah, they wuz all playing classic fenders, real classic fenders...mebbe it wuz de spirit of dem instruments? Naaaah, they just had the spit, if not the polish....good stuff.....

After Flipside, the drummer brought on a different bass player und guitarist, and they proceeded to kick into real old rock n roll, which sounded double plus good. Said they used to be "The Last Call Band", I tink [memory fade]... More good stuff..

Last but not least, and not anymore good stuff, wuz the Waldos, which wuz the KILLER stuff...Fer one, once they got the sax up und running, they've got the sound at the continintal divide pegged [hope so they play like every month or two weeks].... Sound wuz best I've seen it for any bands there. As for what they did with it, they blast, really. Killer good stuff. Did a number of songs for JThunders [will be a tribute at the Marque in June], Stand By Me, Too Much Junkie Business being two....Cheetah Chrome joined them for a kicking version of [f**k, d*amn, I remembered it too, till I remembered Stand by me, kicked out dis one].... Too Hip Nips joined in vocals for Chineese Rocks....Whilst someone from Sweden or xomesing sat in on guitar.. added wonderful international flavor to that very mucho classic song, huh huh huh......They did two new songs or so as well...er so it seemed...Allinall the Waldos really do it up bigtime, put on a ++good fun, kicking, Killer, show.

Still can't remember what that song wuz, huh mike....[Nope]...Dylan song mebbe? [something like that, wuzn't really an expected cover, like not a heartbreaker song]...Ummm...How'd you figure out that wuz Randy Dash at CB's? [Saw the dude at King Tuts later in the night, und asked him who he wuz]....Who's Randy Dash? huh huh huh...[good question, says he plays CB's, friend of Joey Ramones, bycicle messenger {??, huh huh huh} gonna have to check see if I can't catch one of his bands sets, sure looks the part in quite the natural way..thus my initial error in ID..but Walter Lure don't have blond hair, coulda sworn he did, think I'm gonna plead insanity all said]....But then if his band is any good the stupidity could be well worth it, ya know..not to mention the dude seemed like good people, and it's always cool meeting good peoples.. [Yeah, guess yer right]....... Now about...[don't say it!].... [Querying Self Mike].....
