Say what? The Limelight whats? The Limelight s*cks sh*t? The Limelight is to clubs what maggots are to corpses? Who says? So what, they didn't let you in, don't matter, you were wearing sneakers. Some people think they could go to diet caffine plastic clubs that look good for a second in *SNEAKERS*! IMAGINE! Mindboggling isn't it! F*CK THE LIMELIGHT, geeze some good volks come to town [Mr Thom! Cool I can talk all this sh*t about actually meeting him and be none the worse for it, he don't read me messages!!! Hih hih hih... No really, good people, don't doubt it! There ittis Level! You called it again!].... OK, the limelight bites it, s*cks sh*t, has just about no good reason for existance and should be nuked! At least drop a chemical weapon on it, or xomsing...I mean, I thought that "we can't let you in" went out with rollor discos but I guess I wuz wrong, needless to say, one can't think very highly of a club if they don't let you in...One could actually think very negatively about it..ok, just about as negative as it comes, picture something you most definately and absolutely despise, call it the Limelight, and I made me point...

OK, the good stuff...the good stuff...Ummm...Hows about settling for the wierd stuff...Dee Dee Ramone! At the continental Divide, just about the second most miserable place to see a band... Oh it's got its homey qualities, and it's cool 'tude, und local flavor, but beyond that, it's pretty damn awkward... Which sequays nicely into Dee Dee Ramone, pretty damn awkward. The man belongs in the Ramones, the man is the Ramones, the man just don't cut it on his own, with the Spiked Tops [I think that's their name]... Two very lovely girls, who would be doing something else, probably from nine to five, if it wasn't for Mr. Ramone... Beyond the music, which wuz pretty simple, and not terribly invigorated, invigorating, or good... It wuz quite the historical, thinking deal tho... It really got the gears a churnin, it took one back in quite the big way. Grunge to the tenth degree.

It had a nice feel to it, without a doubt. It shoulda been better, it shoulda been good... With just a little more push, a little more musical substance, better said, *any* real musical substance, we woulda been rocking and rolling.... Sadly tho, [some might say], it just wasn't there... Sure Dee Dee gives it his all, and really does bang that geetar quite seriously and awsomely, there's really just nothing there. He's just not a solo arteest, and band and all, that's what the show wuz all about... He's a Ramone! They still cook, but it's not the same, I think I've seen why. There's a piece missing, still most of the puzzle remains. The piece that fell off is quit alone, and it shows..... All in all, he touches 77 with a big hand, and ya can't help but grooving on that groove, but that's about it... He wuz missing a bunch of bases... It's a bit of a bummer...

Before Dee Dee, there wuz this band Trouble Shooters.... Novel to say the least... Really quite interesting stuff... Sure it wasn't polished, but it wuz probably as tight as it comes... Heavy Reggae n Rock... They played some straight reggae, but it didn't come accross that smashface...They stamp it with the lower east side, not Jamacia... Grungy tight reggae, that doesn't mush your brain, like the reggae I've seen live does... Nice touch...And they also get beyond the reggae, there's something else going on there... Strong bass going down, and some serious geetar playing.. All und all, they hung on there and kept things interesting for the most part, going about 2 or 3 songs into exhaustion, where they kinda lost it... Better then Dee Dee who wuz there for about 10 songs, starting with the second one...

All in all, all in all, all in all, sedate und unenglightening show, that had quite a bit of flavor, but really didn't do the appetite up... And oh yeah, clubs that don't let everyone in like the Limelight, really don't deserve to be. Hey, either it's formal, und we won't show, or they're for real, and they'll let us in..If they're playing the fashion, whosin deal, then
