*this* morning. Had to miss the all star Jam for satanmass sake. Well at least 20 people stayed. Anyway, the Anti-Censorship Rock the Vote! Bookend kinda tie the loose ends night for me, different ends of the spectrum abounded there und everywhere else. Let's see... these be quickies, like I said,IT'S F*CKING LATE! 1) Stigmata a Go Go - er uh, if you don't have something nice to say...tho Chris Stien did one song with em. 2) Maria Excommunicata - Woulda liked to have had more time to sink my teeth, they started off killer, the song Maria Excommunicata, then the shortened set, kinda didn't give em a chance to really unwind. Last time at CBGB's woulda been tough to follow in any case. Killer band! 3) Trashaholics - good fun, like a different female lead singer for each song, then the whole deal. RnR staple kinda songs, but with a nice grungy grungy touch. Good stuff. Visual, ay. 4) Deans of Discipline - You say you want geetars, you got em. Figure how Cal uses the funk metal meld, but instead of the funk, good ole geetar rock n roll. Not bad, not bad at all. 5) Low Meato - Trash kinda, grinding, funky high rapping, lotta sound, something like I woulda expected Primus to sound like, which is to say a couple of teeth und balls. 6) Murphy's Law - Yes back again. Jimmy Gestapo, the front mans front man, no matter the little skin connection, and yesteryears swung fists, I always had a good bit of respect for the dude, the man does it up. Not to leave out the rest of the band, which kicks mighty. Mighty kickin band. 7) False Prophets - yes oh yes oh yes. Back from Europe, und they've got it together, best they've ever sounded, totally totally KILLER w/ something to say even! A not to be missed band. 8) Lunachicks - The best in messy music, great stuff! Not as killer this time, seems the million band crunch was limiting all around, slot didn't help. Still moving tho. Hot sh*t!
=All in all, one downright interesting evening! Some kicking some killer some questions, some answers, not bad at awl... Vote the Censors OUT!!!!
