First of all, gotta agree with the respect thing Glynis is talking about
here. While I'm all for the raw and fun (ie. not to be taken too
seriously) underpinnings of rock & roll, there's nothing wrong with lettin'
each other know when we're really steppin' over the line to offensiveness.
So right on, Brian. I don't even know (or care) what those BFTG albums
look like and I've had 'em all for about 13 years (shows I couldn't see all
that well in the eighties either!). And hopefully, people that dig garage
music won't take Tim's rants too seriously. yeah, we should take things in
the sometimes funny (often for shock value) spirit in which they are
intended, but let's also be mindful of what we write and how it might
affect or offend each other. I don't like the names of some comps, but I
can recognize tongue-in-cheek or twisted terms of endearment when I hear
'em. On the other hand, it's good to keep each other in line when
potentially hurtful things appear to be said on the list just to provoke
reaction. Common courtesy and rock & roll aren't mutually exclusive.
Rocky.
