The Rezillos

The Rezillos - yeahhhhh GREAT band - they were one of the combos who made me
wanna play guitar myself, aged as I was at the time about 14. I remember
seeing them on "The Old Grey Whistle Test" (defunct BBC TV weekly
rock-show), introduced by Annie NIghtingale, doing the whole wraparound
shades and go-go dancing thing, singing perfectly crafted songs about flying
saucer attacks and the like. Track down their sole album "Can't Stand The
Rezillos", pop kids, and enjoy. They split in late 78 and mutated into the
Revillos, who IMHO never quite matched up to the original (still good tho).
Guitarist John Callis went on to commercial success in the early-80s
humorless synth-popsters The Human League. And I think singer Eugene
Reynolds had a shop in Edinburgh.

anyway as for Julie Burchill then Private Eye magazine has got it dead right
when they call her "Julie Bullshit".
