Yeah, that's a great song. And I have a funny story about it. And I'm gonna
tell it.
Well, that was the first Paul Revere & The Raiders record I ever bought,
and I thought it was
pretty cool. So when I was DJing "The Fuzz That Wuzz" and Bob and John from
the Gruesomes were going to be on the show as guests, I decided to play
that tune. You see, the two of them
had the longest bowl haircuts at the time, with bangs right down to their
chins. So I thought the
song was fitting.
I played it and they proceeded to say (on the air) that it was the
suckiest, crappiest song they
had ever heard. Instead of taking offence, I was pretty proud that I played
it (and liked it) because
as Mr. Phillips pointed out, it's a pretty great song. It was the first
time I actually thought I had good
taste (and sense) in music!
