I've got both of 'em (they came as review copies)... There's no purple
gorilla on either of mine, though. Rather, The Beach Party one has a wooden
sign on the stand with an arrow pointing to actress/model Kari Wuhrer
(blonde in this pic) posing on a scooter in a 60s bathing suit and a
painted on muscle surfer guy by her side. The Pool Party disc has Kari
again (this time as a brunette) poolside, with a retro-futuristic turntable
playing a 45, with a retro-futuristic TV screen showing letters pointing
her way saying "Twist & Swim With Kari Wuhrer."

I think there's also a Jungle Party disc in the series, but I don't have
it.

I haven't listened too intently to either disc yet, though I've played them
as background music to let them have a little time on the charcoal grill of
my brain before I serve up the reviews. Basically, they're eminently
listenable and should make for good background music for your next party.
On the other hand, I wouldn't say either one is an absolute must. (At
least, not at this stage. Maybe with more listening time.) They're good,
not great. You can find out more about the discs by going to
http://www.del-fi.com

On the other hand, if you're looking for a really *excellent* release from
Del-Fi, check out the Larry Bright comp, Shake That Thing!
