GREAT. The set comprised of originals 'cept for '1-2-5' and 'Are You Gonna
Be There (At The Love In). During the latter the singer jumped onto the
dance floor and started to put across some serious Dave Aguilar moves.
Their original material was strong and had definate garage-psych leanings.
For instance the final tune was a Blues Magoos workout about being a
psychotic ...of all things. Quite catchy really. The only point I did not
care about them was the name as it sounds a bit obvious to a card carrying
Bomp List subscriber. Still there's a heck of lot of people who ain't got
a clue about the Count Five so why not plunder the reference. Talking to
the band afterwards was very interesting. The singers was raving about the
We The People comp. on Sundazed while the lead guitarist was asking whether
the first Suicide album was still available as a former girlfriend had
nicked his copy. All in all a band who are down to earth and put on a
decent show. Go see 'em if you have the chance.
