Wild Weekend

I received my tickets for the Wild Weekend shindig, and much to my chagrin,
I saw the following condition printed on my ticket:

"No glass containers, bottles, tape recorders, illegal substances, alcohol,
dangerous weapons, or fireworks, etc. to be carried onto the premises.
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in admission being
refused, or, if entry has been gained, the offender will be evicted."
               
I was planning on bringing a professional Walkman and taping the bands.
Can any of you English folks tell me if they're serious about that?!?  I'm
not going to chance it if they really will throw me out.  What gives?  I've
NEVER had a problem taping anything at a festival such as this.  The bands
don't care, why should the promoter/venues?  I'm hoping that the tickets
were issued by a company like TicketMaster, and that they put that
disclaimer on every ticket.  With the hologram printed on it, it kinda
makes me think that's the case.  At any rate, I would appreciate it if
someone can tell me if I should chance it, or not.

Lastly, in addition to the tickets, I received a list of hotels/bed &
breakfasts.  Has anyone made any reservations?  I was wondering which one
to choose, and thought it would be cool to stay where other Bompers are
staying.
