Yep, I picked up OUTSIDERS DOOR INSIDERS after seeing the Outsiders play in
Hoorn (The Netherlands) last year.  They were selling them at the
merchandise table.  Unfortunately, I don't know Dutch, so I have lots of
translating to do, as well.  I emailed Jerome Blanes, the author, and he
told me that the English translation (that was supposed to come out)
probably won't ever be published because of lack of funds...  On a side
note, Jerome is now playing in a band with Appie Rammers called De Rammers,
or "The Rammers" (for us English speaking folks).  Don't expect a Nederbiet
sound, though - they're a blues outfit.  Back to the books:  I didn't know
about the Wally Tax biography!  I'll have to hunt that down when I'm in
Amsterdam in a few weeks.  I'm not sure if you're all aware or not, but
Wally quit the band, Appie returned, they got a new singer (Edwin db), and
they changed their name to Outsider.  Their first show is in Amsterdam on
October 17th.  Unfortunately, I'll miss it, but (now it's my turn to brag,
Glynis) the guys invited me to come see them rehearse while I'm in
Amsterdam!!!  That's pretty darn cool, if you ask me.  I have heard them,
and Edwin is quite a suitable replacement for Wally.  Maybe I'll finally
finish that Outsiders review for Feline Frenzy, and have a bit more to
write about Outsider!  If Wally Tax is as easy to track down as he said he
was in the Ugly Things interview, I may try to hook up with him, too.
We'll see what happens...  I have a very limited time in Amsterdam before
heading over to London for the Wild Weekend.  25 days til departure... I
can't wait!
