Re: [bomp] I want to hear You call my name
Any essay on 'I Heard Her Call My Name' should contain at least a few words on
'Sister Ray,' which always struck me - musically at least - as an extension or
elaboration of the first song. Maybe it's my limited imagination, but I can't
think of a better, more appropriate, follow-up song to such a cathartic
freakout. Either tune by itself would just be splayed energy having no
particular focus, but together they they fed off each other in a way that
sounded more artistically complete.
Or something like that.
