Cyn is about 100% right. The point is live music with the albums mere commercials for that.
Oddly enough, frontal lobe Peter Zaremba doesn't much like the IRS stuff. Just the recent stuff. I think there are gems in all of 'em.

Absolutely
super fun and great to play with ! Seein' as I never saw the beatles or the
stones in the 6o's, I'm gonna stop short on agreeing with you there,
though ;)
Mayvbe that's the afterglow talkin' : )'
I think the current and last
records might be their best from what I've listened to . Even just sound
wise- they finally hit all their marks and it finally sounds to me like it
always should have sounded- if that makes any sense. When you're a band
like
the Fleshtones, putting out a record's gotta be a mixed blessing of sorts.
You
wanna live up to your own high standard -but I imagine that ain't always
easy.
It's a different animal. Personally I'm glad their enthusiasm
wasn't siphoned
off and digested by the recording process over the years. Fans have been
better served by seeing them live at what's more or less a perpetual peak
than
they would have been by having a few slightly better 'tones records. And I
think they'd agree that yeah, they have some good records, some not as
good..
but when push comes to shove it's not really about the record .The record
is a
reason to tour .
