Absolutely
super fun and great to play with ! Seein' as I never saw the beatles or the
stones in the 6o's, I'm gonna stop short on agreeing with you there, though ;)

I think the current and last
records might be their best from what I've listened to . Even just sound
wise- they finally hit all their marks and it finally sounds to me like it
always should have sounded- if that makes any sense. When you're a band like
the Fleshtones, putting out a record's gotta be a mixed blessing of sorts. You
wanna live up to your own high standard -but I imagine that ain't always easy.
It's a different animal. Personally I'm glad their enthusiasm wasn't siphoned
off and digested by the recording process over the years. Fans have been
better served by seeing them live at what's more or less a perpetual peak than
they would have been by having a few slightly better 'tones records. And I
think they'd agree that yeah, they have some good records, some not as good..
but when push comes to shove it's not really about the record .The record is a
reason to tour .
