Hey Bompers,

 

A heads up that the new Marshmallow Overcoat album, "The Light Show," will
see release as a limited edition gatefold CD with free poster and bonus
CD/DVD this Friday, June 20, 2008 - exclusively through the band's new
MySpace site: www.myspace.com/themarshmallowovercoat

 

This is the band's first new album since the 2005 "best of" CD, and their
20th release since 1986. This Limited Edition also includes a bonus 28-song
"live" album of MP3s and a new music video. A slate of live shows for the
Fall - their first shows in more than a decade - are being discussed now;
they'll do a private album release show in the next few weeks.

 

Fans who know the band already will dig their classic blend of '66 garage,
fuzz, Vox and moody psych, and hopefully a new generation of garageniks will
discover The Marshmallow Overcoat and this new album.
