He was taken off life support yesterday, not today. I still haven't received 
any official word that it's over.

There's no hope, though. His heart was stopped for eight minutes before 
paramedics arrived.

Nicest...guy...that...ever...lived.  Bar none.

I've been pretty well fractured about this since Monday, but we were told not 
to blab and to respect the family's privacy.
