For me, when I deejayed, my criteria for choosing records was basically  
"Which records would I like to hear played really loud?" :>
 
I don't mind hearing some familiar tunes being played when I'm at someone's  
DJ night. Sometimes I've never heard those records played over big loud  
speakers. The same way I've often gone to theaters in New York to see films I  may 
have seen before many times, but have never seen on a big  screen.
